Several crossings a day let you come and go at your leisure. An excellent motorway network and good train services on either side of the channel give you the flexibility to explore France, Belgium and beyond.

The Dover-Calais ferry crossing leaves from Dover's Eastern Docks, which are easily accessible by road, rail and shuttle bus. Check-in time for vehicles is 30 minutes before departure, and for foot passengers, 45 minutes before departure. The Dover ferry terminal is located just a mile from Dover town centre and is accessible from the M2 and M20 motorways. As you approach Dover, follow the local signs to the ferry terminal. When you enter the port, keep to the left and enter the lane marked 'Vehicles with Reservations' to access the check-in booths.
For foot passengers there are ample short and long stay parking spaces available at the main multi-storey car park at the entrance to the port. The nearest railway station is Dover Priory, which is approximately 1.5 miles from the port and a 2 hour train ride from London. A regular shuttle bus to the port operates between 7am and 8:40pm and costs £2 per person each way.
National Express operates a regular service to the ferry terminal for all departures and arrivals. The journey takes around 2hrs 30mins from London Victoria, stopping directly outside the Travel Centre.
As in Dover, vehicles must check in 30 minutes before departure from the Calais terminal, and foot passengers 45 minutes before departure. The Port of Calais is directly connected to the European motorway network via two autoroutes. Those wishing to leave their cars in Calais can take advantage of the free public car park in front of the Terminal building.
A regular bus operating between 10am and 8pm takes foot passengers to the centre of Calais at Place d´Armes and the railway station on request. It costs €1.50 per person each way. The nearest railway station is Calais Ville situated in the centre of town which provides a regular service to Paris Gard du Nord as well as other major towns and cities in the area.
